Deposit Files: The bigger they are, the harder they fall.

by Editor on July 6, 2012

There is a saying, “The bigger you are, the harder you fall”. Nothing could sum up that saying than the actions of our worst illegal file locker investigated thus far, Deposit Files.

Deposit Files hosts everything. Pirate software, Blockbuster Hollywood Movies, Games, Music, Pornography and sickening incest, bestiality and child pornography.

UPDATE: 11 July 2012
Over recent days we announced the Paypal termination of several sites, including Deposit Files, by Paypal. It seems that Deposit Files has begun processing with Paypal again.

DepositFilesVisaNew

Read more of the dirt we have collected on Deposit Files and the disgusting content they happily host.

Deposit Files, like so many illegal file lockers, pays users to upload content. Obviously the more popular the content is the more the uploader will be paid. Deposit Files provides direct incentives for copyright infringement, or worse child exploitation.

DepositFilesAffiliateOffer

Once Deposit Files have paid for uploads they then sell premium memberships to people who want to be able to download quickly and without restriction. Effectively Deposit Files are deliberately selling illicit material for huge profits.

DepositFilesPremium

Everything you can imagine, including stuff you really don’t want to imagine, can be downloaded from Deposit Files. Let’s start with software, all the latest versions of any pirated software you want is able to be downloaded.

Depositfilessoftware

There’s no shortage of pornography on Deposit Files. In fact there’s so much it’s impossible to describe the scale of it. There is also extreme forms of pornography available, much of which is illegal in many countries.

Depositfilesporn

Want a BluRay movie rip ? Deposit Files has those too. Plenty of them to download and Deposit Files profit from every illegal download.

Depositfilesbluray

We are working to shut down this site completely, starting with cutting off it’s ability to accept payments and ultimately having it shut down by it’s upstream network providers. We also think the US Department of Justice should seize the domain name.

hmm. I dont know why your are trying so hard to take credit for paypal’s actions. paypal has been closing filehosting accounts for months and since 1st July they have added new policies for working with filehosting and are putting this sort of sites on hold till they cooperate ! but seeing you trying so hard to take credit for paypal action and claiming you are the one shutting them down is so ridiculous and low. and now that i see you are gathering money from this i know what this is all about. your action is not different that those filelockers and you too are a thief that is carefully coordinating your post with paypal action and steal credit for them claiming its your doing ^^ . now you are gathering money from this and then ran away with it . quite the clever charlatan you are ! remove that fund gathering and ppl may believe you ! if you truly have Sponsers and this is a big operation then why do you need money from people. who are you trying to fool ??

Paypal investigate every case that is reported to them independently and I have never taken credit for the actions that Paypal have taken.

However I am also working with the credit card companies, government authorities and other organisations in this effort to shut down the illegal file locker industry.

Not a single person can claim credit for the work of a whole range of people from payment processors to law enforcement, however I am doing my bit and putting alot of time, effort and money into the campaign.

Some people hate what I am doing, if nothing else raising awareness of a serious problem that should have been addressed long ago.

“…in this effort to shut down the illegal file locker industry”
You are throwing every file locker in existence into one bag labeled “illegal”. If you have a product there will be people that abuse it or circumvent its limitations. Like buying porn. Who wants to buy porn? you have to be stupid to buy it. There are tube-like sites (XVIDEOS, fadpu, tube8, redtube, youjizz, motherless). People can download those videos too FOR FREE by using a plugin that you can download on web browsers and you don’t even have to wait for a timer to countdown like file lockers

Depositfiles is one of the worst, glad to see them in your hit list.

I dont oppose the nature of your work , just clearing that up . But i have seen too many people preaching about what needs to be done and gain support from people and run away with money !! you first said you are part of a big operation and i assumed you are being funded . then now you are gathering money which makes me loos faith in your sincerity and thing this is just another trick to take advantage of the situation in this certain periods and run with the money !! what do you need this money for ?? from the sound of it you talked with paypal on the phone and contacted Visa !! if you have hired lawyer then you should seek help from the porn industry and copy right owners and not people ! gathering money for copyright campaign from normal people is taking money from the wrong people !!! you are taking money fro what exactly ?? clarify accurately !!

Initially I didn’t want to collect donations, however many people have asked how they could contribute to my costs and therefore I put the ChipIn widget up. I’m not begging for donations. If people want to contribute thats good, if not then that won’t stop my efforts.

I would guess that hosting this site in 3 places, on some sort of hosting that’s hardened against DDOS is not free, as well as the time he is investing in tirelessly exposing these thieves.

If you don’t like it, don’t donate.

are you taking this host to court which you aren’t as i see now !! talking to papyal on the phone needs money ? contacting visa needs money ? what are you exactly doing to need money ! do you think just because you are spending your time behind your computer reporting filehost you are eligible to receive money for your work ? is this a new business model and self-established job. I dont see how you need money ! that fund-gathering gadget totally contradicts what you claim you stand for !!!

As I have said, I placed the ChipIn widget on the site because people asked how they could contribute.

I am not making money out of this, it’s a full time project at the moment. I am using a lot of time, money and resources to keep this going.

People can accuse me of anything, self interest, selfishness, you name it. However this will not deter me from ensuring that my project is as successful in it’s aims as is possible.

thats exactly my point ! your kind of campaign solely runs on moral stand point of it ! illegal filesharing is wrong specially that kind of material and the one running that campaign should himself be an example ! you are doing this cause you think this is wrong and you shouldnt give people excuse to have second thoughts on your sincerity ! i dont see your campaign at its current state be money-dependant ! if you want people to believe you are doing this because you actually believe its wrong then remove that gadget ! accepting donation just diminish the value of your efforts !

I can’t add to this, I’ve already explained my position. People can make their own decisions about whether to support or not support this campaign.

Disabling those cyberlockers is totally appropriate in my opinion. Although, I don’t see why so many people pick on Rapidshare and Mediafire? Those sites seem to be legitimate business in my point of view as they don’t really rely on any kid of pay for download plans which you mention on your website and I’m sure they work hard to remove any type of illegal content.

People like myself and others store legitimate files on those websites: backups of websites, documents and photo albums online.

I lost a lot of backups due to Megaupload shut down and I’m really angry that I and other people can’t get those files back.

If a site promotes incentives for uploaders then problems start to occur.

If a site cannot implement very good and quick DMCA or copyright removal procedures then they will have problems from us.

If a site hosts lots of child pornography and fails to employ more staff to find and remove it then they will also have problems from us.

This is not a one man effort anymore, there is a team and we are working hard to clean up the file locker industry.

John July 8, 2012 at 6:27 am

I understand that and I agree. However, how can you expect Mediafire to police all their files for example? Thousands and thousands of file uploads daily. It probably could work if they had like 1000+ staff members only to police every new file that is being uploaded.

It’s just not possible to do in a way.

I support going after file hosts who offer any type of rewards but I wouldn’t like to see Mediafire going down any time soon…

Editor July 8, 2012 at 10:39 am

Mediafire set a service up to make money, I don’t care if they have to employ 1000 people to keep that service in check. It’s not our problem, it’s Mediafire’s problem.

Nobody forced Mediafire to set up their site. They chose willingly to do it, now it’s incumbent upon them to control it.

I have zero sympathy for the “we have millions of files defence”. I don’t care if you have a million files, not my problem. It’s the problem of the service who possess those millions of files!

Servers they are hosted on didn’t fall off the sky.

I was going to donate but I changed my opinion now. You’re just plain angry and have no respect for sites that were created almost 6-8 years ago, who’re there to provide free storage for people who use those websites for it’s real purpose.

Let’s see who will have the ball when Megaupload get back.

CamTata July 7, 2012 at 4:09 am

Forget the bozo naysayers FileLockerSlayer you are succeeding as nobody has before. Especially much more success than all of the high priced pompous attorneys have collectively accomplished over the last several years and all they ever do it seems is settle rather than take out some kneecaps.

Donation forthcoming – thank you

If you are so damned worried about illegal filesharing, may I suggest you go after torrents..

and besides why dont you keep your nose in your own business, you dont own the copyright to any of this stuff

Hmm good idea, lets go after the advertisers on private tracker sites ? Thanks, that can be our next project.

Copyright theft affects everyone, every single one of us, so it is my business.

Also, what business is it of yours to tell me something isn’t my business :)

You faggot, to think that you can fool people into thinking that you are some kind of super moral figure and are doing this out of goodness of your heart, will be a waste of time. People know what kind of dumb moron you are, getting money for your efforts? what efforts? Anyone can do these kind of sick actions you are doing. Uploading fake files and labeling them as CP, you are going to get buttfucked soon for your lies. You cannot win this war when your own methods are illegal, just wait and watch, your ass is being sued for uploading fake files to filehosts and then reporting it as its the filehost fault.
Stupid dumbass.

We don’t upload ANYTHING!

What you’re saying is that we own the thousands of forums, with links to this material. That we own thousands of domain names upon which to advertise this material. That we own thousands of computers to upload thousands of files. That we managed to backdate all these files in Google over 5 years and set the file lockers up. Is that what you’re saying ?

We are absolutely basking in the fact that illegal file lockers are running so scared they make these baseless and stupid allegations which defy logic.

Keep running scared guys, we’re coming to get you!

Oh and, sue me! Just try it!

DavidDDavidson July 9, 2012 at 12:21 am

Funny how the ‘screenshot evidence’ you provide actually has absolutely nothing to do with the file host you were discussing. I find it utterly amazing that someone trying to do something as stupid as you are cannot figure out simple site limited search queries.

In other news – If you hate the millions of files defense so much then every service on the internet that allows user content is illegal! Facebook has millions of pictures and videos! Wonder how many of those are illegal? Oh God, Youtube has over 1 terabytes worth of video uploaded to it every SECOND. Wonder how much of that is illegal!? Google indexes hundreds of millions of files – WONDER HOW MANY OF THOSE ARE LEGAL?!

The only point I am willing to agree with you on is that File lockers that offer incentives for uploading are scumbags. Mediafire is a legitimate business, as was Megaupload – just like Dropbox.

How stupid can you get? How does “Premium account” = “Unlimited access to kiddy porn”? I have a premium account on a file sharing website simply so I can upload more of my stuff (perfectly legal, may I add.)

Scumbags like you are the reason the Anti-piracy racket has such a bad name.

Reply

Editor July 9, 2012 at 2:02 am

Most file lockers which offer incentives have illegally copied or just plain illegal content on them. It’s not hard to find it as it’s pasted everywhere over the net so that uploaders can earn money.

There are a handful of legitimate services compared to hundreds of illegal services who operate under the guise of “user uploaded” content.

There’s illegal content all over the web, however we have chosen to concentrate on illegal file lockers. Something else might be next. Stay tuned.

CamTata July 9, 2012 at 9:02 am

I just love the cogent words and logic of defenders of some of these file lockers – they define themselves rather clearly. Obviously there is a critical shortage of neurons throughout the uploading and downloading world.

These sites are illegal because they do not control the content that users upload?…uploaders are the only ones responsible, they are explicity sharing
copyright material (owned or not)

piracy is like water…you take one path down it will find another
you have to control piracy at the source…the responsible (users)

Elaborating a list of uploaders sharing copyrigth material and judge them would be fair and more effective.

Thanks for the comment.

We’re targeting sites which clearly distribute copyright and illegal material. These very same sites reap in the profits on the backs of other people’s hard work. We’re coming after them all.
