More Copyright Infringing Content on UltraMegaBit.com

by Editor on October 5, 2012

In our last post we detailed the mirky world of UltraMegaBit, which offers access to large amounts of copyright infringing content. Since the post was published, UltraMegaBit.com have disabled access to the links of files mentioned in the post. Files on UltraMegaBit aren’t accessed directly, they are accessed through a generated link, which means that there is no way for a third party observer to know if files are actually deleted or not.

Today we have more of our evidence to reveal, which shows a systemic and deliberate pattern of infringement. It’s possible for uploaders to set files to be made available to premium members only. With the Pay Per Download affiliate model, there is clear incentive for uploaders to share popular commercial content. Despite having examined links to thousands of files, we have not found one single example of a content producer, artist, publisher or rights holder using UltraMegaBit to monetize their own content.

Let’s examine today’s infringements:

It has been necessary for rights holders to send DMCA notices to Google to remove links to content on UltaMegaBit’s servers.

The DMCA notice above was issued on the 17th September 2012, we captured the screenshot below in evidence on the 5th of October.

There is no shortage of copyright infringing pornography at UltraMegaBit.

Why is it you don’t blame the uploaders? Why do you blame the file hosts?

In law a fence of stolen goods is often found to be more culpable than the burglar who stole them. This is because judges believe without people like that there’d be less thieves.

File Lockers aggravate the problem of file sharing by paying people to share infringing files.

Maybe because they ARE to blame?

What about RapidShare, are you afraid of going against the big boys? They even use paypal.

Reply

BS October 7, 2012 at 5:50 am

they couldn;t even take down bitshare and freakshare ‘s paypal
well i guess they did something back in July or so, but BS and FS still have no problem receiving money from paypal
so no way they can do anything to rapidshare LOL

You freetards kept saying that about pretty much every filehost which later lost Paypal thanks to SFL. Your list of “you’ll never get insert_a_thieving_host_name_here Paypal account terminated” is getting shorter by day. BS and FS will be terminated too sooner or later.

How do you feel now freetard? Check BS&FS, try to find Paypal payment option.

StopFileLockers, stop progress!

Are you really THAT stupid or just pretend?
You’re very much shortsighted and this site doesn’t even really adress any problem.

Just another MAFIAA-related scumbag.

REAL artists DON’T do any of your actions.

Oh really? Google The Trichordist, see who they are, and also check their blogroll.

Trichordist is owned by the same. No actual real people involved, domain registered through a third party to hide the actual owner, just extra propaganda.

what about taking down private torrent trackers?? they use paypal for donations, they are always updated with the latest releases, and have a nice comunity for file sharing, Ciberlockers are out, now private sites are the solution for sh*tty ppl like you

hmmmm…maybe all the cyberlocker companies should pool their finances & create a Paypal type company … payment companies are a good source of profit … like porn right King? We all know your real goal is to kill those who dilute your porn profits with free sharing of it … get the govt and Paypal etc to help kill your competition

Not on this planet freetard. All billing companies anwer to VISA and MC which are both American companies and abide by DMCA.

I dont know what u guys will accomplish by doing this but let me make a few things clear. Even if u manage to shut down every file locker site (which is not possible by the way) than the entire user base of these sites will shift to private torrent trackers which use donations and payment systems while the rest will shift to usenet. U wont be able to do anything about them. So ur only promoting such other means.

So what’s your problem then freetard. Go seed your torrent.

“Freetard”

BAHAHAHAHA

Is that SERIOUSLY what you are calling “pirates” now?

I guess we should start calling you “Greedtards” from now on

Camelot October 8, 2012 at 8:06 am

Yes you can call us like that freetard, but only if you live on prayers and share everything the Lord giveth to you with the people who are poor and struggling. If you collect your paycheck monthly from whoever is paying you to do the job you do, shut up.

All of your efforts are essentially for naught. You people freaked out when it was known that people could RECORD songs off the radio with their tape players. You must have shot through the roof, called it the end of broadcast radio and cried as your fellow colleagues killed themselves due to their sudden loss of revenue. How you managed to survive is amazing.

Then came VHS tapes and holy dog snot! People can RECORD LIVE TV!(#!#!*($*!$1111one. Now you guys are really in the poop! How you survived that round of suicides is amazing yet again.

Oh, snap. But, now there’s DVD recorders that can RECORD LIVE TV! HOLY SMOKES!!! Now you’re revenue is completely gone! OMG, kill yourself now.

Oh wait, you can still make us “rent” DVDs and sit through 30 minutes of unskippable trailers and warnings and whatnot. I could download a DVD Rip and not have to sit through that. So… What’s my incentive for fuelling the lifestyle of Chris Dodd? Who OPENLY admitted to bribing Senators on NATIONAL NEWS when those Senators he tried to buy didn’t want to completely alienate their constituents because of a wholly unpopular Bill that Mr. Dodd was trying to fast-track into law without having to go through those inconvienent trappings of Democracy.

Andoh October 8, 2012 at 12:39 am

Oh and another thing. You obviously have NO idea how the recording/movie industry works.

For any movie, the production company creates a “shell” production company for said movie. All those costs for making the movie are put into that and all the profits are funnelled of that and through some interestingly slimy math, those temporary production companies are ALWAYS running at a loss. So, it is quite easy for those executives to say that sharing movies illegally hurts their profits on paper. This is because they created the fiction themselves.

Now, before you go charging at me, saying I don’t know what I am talking about. I worked as a legal assistant for the MPAA and I know all the dirty tricks that their lawyers pull. Claiming outrageous sums of 100k per song in litigation. Knowing full well that the product is not worth that, it’s a fictional sum of money for an abstract concept. The recording artists get paid, yes. But, they get paid royalties, if they’re lucky.

Recording artists get NOTHING from the companies. They make all their money from Concerts and Tours.

Learn to economy.

Camelot October 8, 2012 at 8:17 am

Yeah learn the economy freetard. Google “David Lowery”, he’s musician himself and wrote several excellent articles on the economy of the music biz, where he showed real world numbers which dismantle the popular pro-piracy myth that it is good for musicians to share their music free to get “exposure” and then to make money on the road.

Also google “Robert Rich” and read his article too – he’s also the musician and he’s saying basically the same thing.

Camelot stop calling people a freetard without only bcoz someone wants to share his/her views. U end up looking like a jerktard

Reply

Camelot October 11, 2012 at 10:22 pm

I’m not calling people who are sharing their views freetards, that honorable title is reserved for those who “share” other people’s copyrighted works, or support that kind of “sharing”.
