UltraMegaBit: Piracy outfit to be shut down

by Editor on April 4, 2013

UltraMegaBit.com is a criminal copyright infringement conspiracy designed to deprive rights holders of income by making copyright material available in an unlawful manner.

UltraMegaBit.com has been featured before on this site. The first time was last year when we labeled UltraMegaBit the new pirate cove. The second and third time were when we explored vast amounts of copyright infringement taking place on the site.

Umb homepage

Rudy Corella, the founder of UltraMegaBit is well known by US Law Enforcement, first being an unwilling party to the prosecution of Daniel Dove, of Elite Torrents, a piracy group which Corella was a member known as Krylon as referred to in the 2008 Appeal Judgement in the case.

Rudy Corella, was also found guilty in abstentia of consumer fraud in a matter brought by the Washington State Attorney General, fined $400,000 plus $141,020.45, a sum which remains unpaid.

In 2012, Rudy Corella found a new scam – a criminal conspiracy to commit commercial copyright infringement by offering incentives to persons to upload copyright content to his file locker service, UltraMegaBit.com.

Umb incentives

At the beginning of April 2013, UltraMegaBit.com returned to the popular wares webmaster forum WJunction.com with the offers described above. UltraMegaBit provides clear incentives to persons who would upload copyright infringing material and indeed pays them money to do so.

Umb adobelightroom

Adobe and Microsoft software can be found in abundance on UltraMegaBit as provided in the above and below screenshots of download pages. Pages which tout for memberships to UltraMegaBit which show that UltraMegaBit wishes to receive payment for providing access to digital products that it has no rights to distribute.

Umb micrsoftvisio

Television series are pirated and shared from UltraMegaBit, with UltraMegaBit charging for access to such content. A clear violation of US Copyright Laws.

Umb supernatural

Umb criminalminds

There are also copious amounts of pirated pornography on UltraMegaBit, in fact our information suggests that the operators of UltraMegaBit deliberately target pornographic content and uploaders of such content to ensure that as much is available on the site as possible.

Umb brazzers

Umb katkaporn

UltraMegaBit’s founder, Rudy Corella, has always been quite cocky when it comes to his involvement in this site. In fact he once lauded the fact that he had his own merchant account as one reason why he was untouchable.

We are working to ensure that all avenues of monetization for UltraMegaBit are wiped out until such time as the site is shut down.

Anyone participating in unfair methods of competition can be found unlawful and may find themselves liable to legal action under Section 5 of the FTC Act. This is not a notice of intent. I strongly suggest you review your current actions incase actions are taken in the future that may pertain to Section 5 of the FTC Act and 15 USC § 45 – Unfair methods of competition unlawful; prevention by Commission which is currently being considered in congress.

Again this is not a notice of intent, its a heads up. Turnabout is fair play.

As it is right now you could be held accountable for unfair deceptive practices under Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act (FTC Act), Ch. 311, §5, 38 Stat. 719, codified at 15 U.S.C. §45(a).

Overview Edit

Section 5 prohibits entities from engaging in unfair or deceptive acts or practices in interstate commerce. It states, in pertinent part:

(1) Unfair methods of competition in or affecting commerce, and unfair or deceptive acts or practices in or affecting commerce, are hereby declared unlawful.

All it takes is someone to bring a charge under this to paypal and link you and your website in which you boast about this and you yourself will be breaking the law and liable. :/

Ignore this if you want, but don’t ever say that someone never warned you. It’s better than the treatment you give these so called “illegal file sharing sites” considering the laws say there within the law.

And wow , what the hell! Your posts are now becoming more and more misleading to the public!! UltraMegaBit: Piracy outfit to be shut down, yet you offer no proof that it will be shut down? Just you bragging… Really? The posts here are getting just as childish as the dictatorship style censorship of your comments section. At least keep your ego in check for the time being and post something real and not made up, hell, the basis for this website as a whole is pretty much made up. Cloud storage sites are not held liable under us law for copyright content uploaded by its users so long as it is upholding its obligation to remove any copyright content reported by a lawful owner or someone authorized by the owner to report such infringment. If you want to legally take these sites down how about you prove that they are not meeting there obligations before you end up under investigation for unfair practices by influencing paypal without merit. And the fact that your unfair and deceptive acts and practices are going to get you into alot of trouble.

I would like to thank you for letting my posts be posted, for the most part, the reason I was so angrey with your site was the over censoring of the comments section. So at the very least I would like to thank you for letting up on that part <3. I wish you well in your pursuits, and apologize for any previouse posts that might have been ignorant for the most part in letting my anger get the better of me. I do think you should run those laws by any lawyer you have on retainer just to be safe.

Rick O'Shea April 28, 2013 at 9:22 pm

@Unkewl. Before you start behaving like a lawyer pouting legalese in an attempt to threaten or scare, you’ll find it a lot more effective and a lot less hilarious if you improve your fundamental grammar.

Allow me…

Their = belonging to them, as in “Their arguments about freedom are fundamentally about making money off of the work of others”

They’re = short for ‘They are’ as in “They are a bunch of opportunist thieves”

There = A place…as in “Look at that idiot over there trying to convince people he’s educated when really he’s running scared”

Rick, you’re really starting to get on my nerves. Stop being such a condescending, smarmy prick, please.

Rick O'Shea October 24, 2013 at 12:31 am

Irritating being lectured isn’t it?

But while the uneducated and the misguided continue to spout long-hand for ‘I want free stuff’ I’ll continue to irritate at every available opportunity.

Top marks to Unkewl though. he did at least apologize.

Unkewl September 25, 2013 at 10:38 am

Considering you understood what was posted by me, why correct my “spelling”?

Got to love grammar natzi, they make life worth ….. Well it must be better for me at least, go fail more.

Rick O'Shea October 24, 2013 at 12:39 am

Because the point here is that the cloud storage sites who do respond DMCA, who do take action against repeat infringers and who do not collude with and incite infringers are not the ones SFL are interested in.

Unfortunately though there are too many wannabe Kim Dotcoms who think that they can pay lip service to DMCA while carrying on all manner of illegal activities behind the scenes. In light of the Hotfile judgement, some are trying to clean up their act and this should be applauded but you’ve only got to head over to WJunction to realise that the activity between the lockers and the infringers is very closely linked and riddled with ‘deceptive practices’

lolz October 12, 2013 at 5:05 am

Is that the best response you have? Attacking slight errors in his grammar? How about responding to WHAT he said instead attacking him for HOW he said it. With his errors, he still made a clear point.

Whack uncapped-downloads while it’s still new. It’s a startup from a member of tehparadox, a warez site of moderate size.

Ismaël Lanzmann July 18, 2013 at 2:54 am

Keep up the good work StopFileLockers!
When I type “rapidgator” in the search bar I don’t see any post or any action from you against this number one piracy and child pornography host, how is it possible?
