UltraMegaBit – Still a hub for piracy

by Editor on September 6, 2013

UltraMegaBit, a file locker owned by Rudy Corella, is still conducting it’s illegal business of criminal copyright infringement.

We have previously explored the rampant piracy on UltraMegaBit and many months on we find that nothing has changed.

It’s almost certain UltraMegaBit has not entered into licensing arrangements to distribute DVD rips of movies.

UltraMegaBit is also a venue for the rampant piracy of pornography.

However, behind every infringing file locker stands a web hosting company. In the case of UltraMegaBit the hosting company is Choopa.com

Choopa.com profit from piracy by harbouring sites like UltraMegaBit.com, they know this yet turn a blind eye. Presumably the money they make from pandering to pirates is lucrative enough that they don’t care about the damage that is done by rights holders.

Welcome back EDITOR. I hope your busting illegal filelockers wuill continue… for many years. How about terminating the respective PayPal accounts of and cutting off credit card processing and reseller support for the very recent and fresh filelockers?

I passed on using Choopa as a 2nd host due to them hosting UltraMegaBit. I’m sure they will survive just fine without my business, but their involvement with piracy has cost them at least one customer.

yeah it’s cool you are trying to fight piracy through filelockers but you will never stop torrents.

Choopa should tread carefully because an ISP who is turning a blind eye to copyright infringement by their users is breaching the safe harbor protection.
